Historic Pilotage Building as the ideal setting
In former days this neo-renaissance palace on the quay acted as a staging point for pilot boats who guided ships in and out of the port. During the AntwerpPhoto Festival it acts as your vantage point overlooking the world of photography today. For this grand Antwerp photo festival this heritage building is temporarily opened to the public, just as in 2018 (Incidentally, this is your last opportunity to see the Pilotage Building because the major renovation project is scheduled to start soon). With the striking tower, the special inner courtyard and the statue of the legendary Brabo as the obvious eye-catchers in the decor of the AntwerpPhoto Festival 2021.
