Privacy policy
Privacy policy
AntwerpPhoto values your privacy. The present privacy policy explains how we collect, store and use your personal data.
What is meant by ‘personal data’?
Legally speaking this is data and information belonging to an ‘identified or identifiable natural person’. This can range from your name and contact details to a picture, a code, a bank account number or another type of personal information.
Attention: the concept of personal data goes beyond mere data from your private life. Data of a professional or public nature is also included.
In addition to data of natural persons, personal data of legal entities or associations can also be collected.
Why do we collect this data?
Your personal data enables us to gear our service to your needs and wishes. In addition, it makes it easy to share useful information with you.
Is leaving your personal details compulsory?
No. Whether or not you wish to share personal data with us is entirely up to you. If you decide not to do so, our communications with you may be somewhat less smooth than usual.
Less smooth sounds like a good idea? At the bottom of every communication we send out there is a link you can click to unsubscribe from future news updates.
Do we share this data with third parties?
Again, the answer is no but we do have a small observation. We store personal data primarily for our own use but there are two exceptions:
* Mailchimp, a marketing platform we use to send out direct mailings in a practical and visually pleasing way.
* Eventbrite, an event technology platform we use to ensure an agreeable ticketing experience.
In turn, Mailchimp and Eventbrite guarantee treatment of your data in accordance with Safe Harbour Principles, making their processing method compliant with Belgian and EU legislation on the protection of privacy.
How do we collect personal data?
The collection of personal data takes place in several ways: by visiting our website and registering to our newsletter, by becoming an AntwerpPhoto customer or by contacting us.
What information do we collect exactly?
We only collect:
- Contact and identification details: email address, first and last name.
- Cookies.
- During the event: camera footage recorded for safety purposes.
- IP information when visiting our site.
Who is responsible for the processing?
Antwerp Photo vzw takes care of the processing and only processes your personal data for the above-mentioned service and safety purposes.
What if your rights are violated?
If it is your opinion that AntwerpPhoto vzw has violated your privacy then we recommend that you contact us by email. We will do everything in our power to rectify the alleged violation. If we are unable to come to an understanding then you can contact the privacy commission for more information.
